About The Architect
HIR Architecture + Design was founded by Hannah I Robertson in 2017 in Brooklyn, NY. A graduate of Bowdoin College, Hannah majored in Spanish and Art History, focusing her studies on the intersection of the two and exploring her passion for architectural design. She subsequently earned her Master of Architecture degree from Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in 2007, where she was the recipient of the Lowenfish Memorial Prize for final studio design. Hannah spent the following 8 years with NBBJ, honing her skills in design, communication, and management on projects ranging in scale from mixed-use urban developments to boutique corporate workplaces. Joining Wettling Architects in 2015, Hannah found her home in residential work and began her own practice shortly thereafter. Hannah is licensed in NY and CT, is a member of the AIA, and currently resides in Rowayton, CT with her husband and two daughters.
